Ruan Transport to close in Decatur, eliminating 58 jobs

Ruan Transport Corp. will close its Decatur operation on June 1, putting 58 employees out of work, according to paperwork posted today on a state website.

The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act requires employers with 100 or more workers to notify the state at least 60 days before they lay off or terminate 50 or more workers. The notice is dated March 30.
